Allah, the Absolutely Perfect and the Most High, has revealed the virtue of the Two Holy Mosques in His Blessed Book and on the tongue of His Prophet (may Allah’s salah and salam be upon him). He has also granted the Two Holy Mosques security, peace, blessings, and sanctity. Furthermore, He has outlined the merit of serving and maintaining them, thus both mosques were built by a Prophet.
The service, management and care for the Two Holy Mosques have continued throughout Islamic history, receiving immense care since the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the rein of King ‘Abdul-‘Aziz ibn ‘Abdil-Rahman al Saud and his descendants (may Allah have mercy upon them).
This commitment has continued under the rule of King Salman ibn ‘Abdil-‘Aziz al Saud and his Crown Prince, Trustworthy Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad ibn Salman ibn ‘Abdil-‘Aziz Al Saud (may Allah preserve them). They have provided all the necessary resources and infrastructure, launched major projects to serve the two holy mosques and their visitors, and they have highlighted the care for the mosques as a priority in Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision.
